When I was a little girl I had a pair of Mary Janes that I absolutely loved; although I completely disliked the color. One of my favorite colors was (and still is) yellow, and I had set my mind on having a pair of yellow Mary Janes. Of course my Mom couldn't find a pair of yellow Mary Janes anywhere. So she did what all good moms do and she talked the local shoemaker into dying my favorite pair of shoes a pretty, pastel yellow. {the color was actually quite chalky, but I loved them just the same} The name "Yellow Mary Janes" reminds me of who I was, who I am, and who I strive to be; and that anything is possible with a little bit of determination.
Yellow Mary Janes is my personal blog. A place where I can freely write about life (the good, the bad, & the crazy), art (in the eye of me, the beholder), and all that jazz (rants & raves, humor, relationships, animal companions, road trips, wine, fears, brow lifting topics, the mundane everyday, and of course, music).
